BBB Accredited Charity Seal

BBB Charity Accreditation and the BBB Accredited Charity Seal are related, but they are not the same.

A green check mark on a Give.org charity report means that the charity has met all 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability.

BBB Accredited Charities may also choose to license the BBB Accredited Charity Seal for display on their websites and fundraising materials.

What is BBB Charity Accreditation?

Look for the green check mark on Give.org charity reports. It indicates that the organization has been found to meet all 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability.

There is no charge to charities for the accountability assessment. Charities complete a detailed online questionnaire and provide information about governance policies, financial statements, and solicitation practices. The materials are then reviewed against the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability. The charity receives a draft report and has the opportunity to respond to any initial findings. The completed report is posted on Give.org for two years and may be amended when new information is provided.
