Joshua Chamberlain Society meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
"Providing long term support to veterans from local area that have sustained permanent combat injuries fighting the long war on terror for our nation, and to also provide long-term support to the children of veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice in our service. Our unique mission is that we adopt, in the truest meaning of that word, these veterans or the family of these deceased veterans, and commit to provide support for the long term."
Year, State Incorporated:
2008, MO
Monthly support- This is monthly payments made to the heroes to support housing and utilities.
Short term emergency support- This support includes anything that comes up throughout the year.
Long term support- This is a long-term investment account. The organization adopts heroes for life, so in an effort to meet that commitment we send part of our money raised to a conservative investment account.
