Bob Woodruff Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) is dedicated to ensuring injured service members and their families are thriving long after they return home. A national organization with grassroots reach, the BWF complements the work of the federal government —diligently navigating the maze of more than 46,000 nonprofits providing services to veterans—finds, funds and shapes innovative programs, and holds them accountable for results. To date, BWF has invested more than $57 million in public education and solutions, reaching more than 2 million service members, support personnel, veterans and their families. The BWF was co-founded by award-winning anchor Bob Woodruff and his family, whose own experiences inspired them to help make sure the nations heroes have access to the high level of support and resources they deserve, for as long as they need it.
Year, State Incorporated:

The Bob Woodruff Foundation aims to invest in, and help shape, innovative solutions that have a meaningful impact on the lives of service members, veterans, their families and their communities. BWF seeks charitable investment partners that provide services to post-9/11 injured service members, veterans and their families, who demonstrate: Commitment and access to the target community and clear understanding of the issues the project will address; Financial stability; A plan for sustainability; Potential for replication or scale; Planned, measurable program goals and outcomes; Experience with, or plans for collaboration with existing community resources and organizations; Solutions which complement services and resources provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.
