The SoulFisher Ministries meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
"To respond to the needs of youth with incarcerated parents and to promote restorative justice for those currently or formerly incarcerated."
Year, State Incorporated:
                            2012, MO
Current programs are Educate Now to Achieve Later (ENAL) and Adult General Achievement Program of Education (AGAPE). Both programs began as pilots in fall 2014 and have continued to grow and expand due to the success of both programs. ENAL is available to students in grades K-8 who are either at-risk or have one or both parents incarcerated. AGAPE is available to individuals involved with the criminal justice system and are returning to the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Each passing year, the organization sees an increased need for enriched educational opportunities for youth as well as individuals who are currently or were formerly incarcerated. This is evidenced by the increasing numbers in school drop-out rates, loss of accreditation for failing school districts in St. Louis, and recidivism of those formerly incarcerated. It is currently serving 90 elementary and middle school students and 50 incarcerated women. It provides free quality afterschool math tutoring for youth and free adult basic academic classes, mentoring services, computer literacy classes, job training, and job placement for individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
