Freedom Firm USA meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
"to raise funds, awareness, and support to identify and rescue minor girls who have been trafficked into the commerical sex trade internationally."
Year, State Incorporated:
2006, MN
Freedom Firm USA (FFUSA) is dedicated to the liberation of children enslaved in commercial sexual exploitation, their effective rehabilitation, and pursuing justice against their exploiters. The organization’s United States team works to raise awareness, funds, and volunteer campaigns to support the work and victims abroad. FFUSA’s core program is carried out through a three-pronged approach: Rescue, Restoration, and Justice. Rescue removes girls from the control of traffickers. Undercover investigators identify victims, document their presence in brothels or similar compromising situations, and take the information to the police. They initiate a raid and lead the police to the location to free the girls. Afterwards, criminal charges are filed against the perpetrators. This leads to Justice; FFUSA works with the legal system towards the prosecution of traffickers, brothel keepers, and others involved in exploitation. The legal team assists public prosecutors at each stage of the criminal trial. They oppose bail, initiate brothel closures, and file petitions to the high courts and child welfare committees. They support survivors in testifying against their abusers, helping bring them to justice. These cases and convictions raise the cost for traffickers and serve as deterrents against future trafficking in minors. Restoration work includes immediate support for girls during and after rescue, medical aid, home evaluations, and ongoing counseling and life skills courses provided to survivors. FFUSA’s social workers continue to follow up with girls long after rescue and support them in healing and rebuilding their lives.
