Nassau County Police Department Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
                            To provide financial support to the analytic, operational, and outreach components of the Nassau County Police Department's mission to serve the people of Nassau County and to provide safety and an improved quality of life in our communities through excelling in policing.

The Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) Foundation establishes a public/private partnership that provides financial support to build and maintain a state of the art Police Academy and Training Village which addresses issues related to community policing and best practices in the area of criminal justice. In addition, the foundation purchases equipment that can’t be bought through normal budgetary means, provides funding to support community initiatives run by the NCPD that build bridges between police and the community they serve, and supports officers and their families in times of need.
