Stated Purpose:
The San Jacinto Museum of History Association is a non-profit educational organization the purpose of which is to collect and preserve significant materials relating to the early history and culture of Texas, its constituent ethnic groups, and the region, and promote the study of and appreciation for the role of Texas within American and world history through exhibits, publications, and educational programs. The Museum places special significance on interpreting the Texas Revolution and the Battle of San Jacinto, the period of the Republic of Texas, and the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Park and associated sites.
