Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston (RMHC Greater Houston) meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston provide a home away from home, supportive services, and hope for families with seriously ill or injured children being treated by one of their partner hospitals in the greater Houston area.
Year, State Incorporated:
1978, TX
With 111 private bedrooms spanning across Holcombe House, Texas Children’s Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, and MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital—RMHC Greater Houston offers families a comforting and supportive environment during their child's medical journey. Additional programs include the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile and in-hospital programs that extend care to underserved communities throughout Greater Houston. To serve more families, better, RMHC Greater Houston merged with A Shelter for Cancer Families (ASCF) in January 2025. The new property will offer fifteen (15) fully furnished one and two-bedroom apartments and will be able to provide housing to larger families (more than four people), families needing a space to transition to their own home, and families with social distancing requirements due to compromised immune systems. Families staying at the new property will have access to the same services provided at Holcombe House, including shuttle transportation, social services, as well as family activities and events. This expansion will allow them to continue to give families with a seriously ill child what they need most – each other.
