The DRC-MC is a nonprofit, volunteer driven organization which provides dispute resolution services (i.e., mediation) and training to individuals, businesses, agencies and the courts.  The DRC-MC has been helping people with difficult conversations since 1988. 

The DRC-MC was started by a committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association and Montgomery County Commissioners' Court in 1988. It is funded by filing fees for civil suits in JP, District and County Courts at Law, mediation fees, contributions and grants, and in-kind services  provided by the county and volunteers.

Method(s) Used:
Grant proposals, Internet, The DRC-MC reaches out in person to the two local bar associations in Montgomery County and does in-person presentations to their Board in order to seek contributions for the Conflict Resolution Bookmark Art Contest each year. In addition, we contact individuals who contributed to the Bookmark Art Contest in prior years and email them the Sponsorship Level page attached to see if they will contribute again. Since this email is not sent to the public, it was not listed as a direct mail appeal and instead was listed as "other" appeal.
