Stated Purpose:
Brigids Path provides specialized medical care to babies born with substance exposure while creating a community of accompaniment, support and education for families. We offer grace for the past, support for the present, and hope for the future.

Year, State Incorporated:
2014, OH

Brigids Path is a newborn recovery center for babies impacted by substance exposure. In a homelike setting, skilled staff and volunteers provide one-on-one, compassionate medical care and respond immediately to a babys needs as he/she goes through withdrawal from prenatal substance exposure. A team of knowledgeable and talented neonatologists, nurses, patience care assistants and trained volunteers use specialized techniques (small and frequent feedings, constant touch or rocking, and low stimulation environments) to help babies be as comfortable as possible as they go through withdrawal. Brigids Path also is a safe place for families, including pregnant and newly postpartum moms. Family advocates identify a mothers strengths and connect her with the resources (housing, transportation, treatment, etc.) that she needs to move forward. The family advocacy team also works with Childrens Services, providing accompaniment and support to help every family move forward.  In 2026, it launched its Transitional Care Nursery, adding 6 inpatient beds (bringing us to a total of 12 beds) for non-medical infants and their mothers preparing to transition to home. This program strengthens stability, sobriety, and family success long-term. The organization continues to offer its traditional inpatient services for newborns recovering from substance exposure and their mothers.
