United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
United Way of Greater Baytown Area & Chambers County is a volunteer-led community-based organization that strives to develop, promote, and support solutions designed to meet targeted community needs. Our focus areas include education, health, basic needs and financial stability. With more that 50% of all residents falling in near, at or under the poverty level, services and programs will help the most vulnerable members of the community. Direct service programs provided by our United Way include disaster response and recovery, Clothing for Kids Closets, with point-in-time delivery of clothing and personal hygiene items to kids in need, Hope for the Homeless, providing items to help someone living outdoors, as well as more than 20 programs supported by United Way that are provided by local agencies.
