"to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world."
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA (InterVarsity) helps build witnessing communities and aims to help students, alumni, staff, and families grow in maturity as disciples of Jesus at three retreat and training centers, and among 1,133 chapters on 769 campuses. The organization also sponsors mission activities in the United States and globally. InterVarsity's field staff serve on campuses across the country and help participants study the Bible regularly, engage in evangelism among their peers, enhance leadership skills, and serve others through missions. InterVarsity has focused ministry programs designed particularly for international students, sorority and fraternity students, ethnic minority groups, artists, athletes, nurses, graduate students, and faculty. Through InterVarsity Press (IVP), InterVarsity publishes resources that serve those in the church and university and encourage people to follow Jesus as Savior and Lord.
