Well Aware designs, builds, and maintains clean water systems and sanitation facilities in East Africa, with the aim of improving health, education, and economic opportunity. The organization reports having a comprehensive, community-driven approach including education, training, and resources for local communities before and after water systems are installed, empowering them with the tools and knowledge to monitor and maintain their systems. The Well Beyond App enables communities to diagnose and resolve issues independently. Well Aware’s sanitation programs include the construction of latrines, and addressing critical health and safety needs, especially for women and girls.
