International Social Service - USA Branch (ISS-USA) provides home studies for kinship placement or adoption, searches for family members, obtains documents, provides coordinated assistance when children are returned to families in countries outside the United States, to benefit children, typically in the United States foster care system, who may have family and placement options outside of the country. ISS-USA relies on a global network of social work providers in 100 countries to provide services. The organization also makes child protective alerts in many countries, when an adult in the United States suspects that a child or other family member may be the victim of abuse or neglect.
