MedWish International reports that it provides essential care, redistributes surplus medical supplies, and connects medically underserved communities with resources in Northeast Ohio and worldwide. The organization partners with healthcare facilities to divert usable medical surplus supplies and equipment from landfills and transports it to vetted recipients. MedWish International’s volunteers and staff, including individuals with special needs who are part of their skill building program, sort medical supplies, perform quality checks, and repackage donated supplies. The organization’s alternative recycling program repurposes supplies that are not viable for humanitarian efforts and provides them to organizations serving animals, schools, and local communities to repurpose the supplies in creative ways. MedWish International also hosts no-cost and low-cost medical clinics domestically focused on medical health, women’s health, vision, and dental needs. The organization’s Brigade program facilitates international medical missions partnered with healthcare facilities to offer free clinics, medical supplies, and other aid. In September 2024, MedWish International and Medworks merged to create MedWish Medworks.
