The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) works to reduce tobacco use and its deadly consequences in the U.S. and around the world. The organization seeks to educate the American public, health officials, policy makers, and domestic nonprofits about the need for international tobacco control efforts and the significance of the World Health Organization's framework convention on tobacco control. CTFK also promotes advocacy efforts of tobacco control policies in low and middle income countries and provides assistance to policy advocacy campaigns. In 2023, the organization also planned and executed a public education campaign about tobacco use by children; sponsored a grant program for state and local charities to conduct educatioin advertising; sponsored the "Kick Butts" program to involve school-aged children in efforts to prevent the sale and marketing of tobacco products to kids, and sponsored a youth advocates awards program. CTFK's Global Health Advocacy Incubator (GHAI) supports civil society organizations advocating for public health policies that reduce death and disease. GHAI brings an advocacy approach and a global network of local partners, built on a 25-year track record on multiple issues in more than 60 countries. The organization's GHAI also provides strategic support to advocates working to enact and implement laws that save lives on a variety of public health issues and in diverse political systems and is a policy advocacy voice on a range of issues.
