The Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust works to preserve and protect environmentally significant land, wetland, and shoreline through conservation easements, land purchase, and land donations. The organization reports operating in the 12 counties in Northeast Wisconsin that make up most of the Green Bay watershed, the largest freshwater estuary in the world, which supplies one third of the surface water to Lake Michigan.
