Have an annual report available to all, on request, that includes: (a) the organization's mission statement, (b) a summary of the past year's program service accomplishments, (c) a roster of the officers and members of the board of directors, (d) financial information that includes (i) total income in the past fiscal year, (ii) expenses in the same program, fund raising and administrative categories as in the financial statements, and (iii) ending net assets.
JACI does not meet this Standard because the 2019 annual report did not include:
- A roster of the organization's board of directors.
- Total fundraising expenses.
- Total administrative expenses.
- Total end of year net assets.
Standard 17 (Web Site Disclosures)
Include on any charity websites that solicit contributions, the same information that is recommended for annual reports, as well as the mailing address of the charity and electronic access to its most recent IRS Form 990.
JACI does not meet this Standard because the organization’s website, https://www.juniorachievement.org/web/ja-centraliowa/, does not include all of the recommended information for those charity websites that solicit for donations. Specifically, it does not include:

Junior Achievement of Central Iowa meets the remaining 15 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Junior Achievement of Central Iowa (JACI) reports that it works to assist Iowa youth with an entrepreneurial mindset to be financially capable and achieve career success. The organization states that it works with K-12th grade volunteers and educators in teaching financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness programs and connects local businesses with schools to help teach business relevant educational experiences to students. JACI offers in-school programs, on-site economy simulations, and summer camps. In 2019, JACI reports that it served 19,835 students across 156 schools and 24 counties throughout Iowa.
