AdoptAClassroom.org (AAC) reports that it leverages the power of technology to provide flexible crowdfunding and procurement tools to teachers and schools that enable them to reach beyond their immediate communities to receive support from donors across the country. The organization uses donations to allow educators to select items they need and then sends the products directly to schools. AAC also enables teachers and schools to apply for grants in specific areas through Spotlight Funds, including Arts Fund, Inclusive Classroom Fund, Racial Equity in Schools Fund, STEM Fund, and Disaster Relief Fund. Each of these funds give special priority to applicants in high-needs communities and Title 1 schools.
