Children's Cancer Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
BBB Wise Giving Alliance Comment
In finding that CCF meets Standard 8, which calls for a minimum of 65% of total expenses being spent on program activities, BBB WGA considered that, although the 2020 audited financial statements report total expenses of $557,086 or 64% of total expenses, program expenses were significantly affected by COVID-19 restrictions. As stated by the charity “In 2020, CCF experienced a significant reduction in fundraising activity. This translated to applying for a PPP Loan and for emergency grant funding while reducing expenses.” During 2019, CCF spent $1,019,968 or 77% of total expenses on programs.

Stated Purpose
"to fund locally-based researchers, programs and facilities until every child is assured a healthy future."
The Children?s Cancer Foundation (CCF) raises funds for local pediatric oncology facilities, direct service programs for children fighting cancer, and direct researchers for their advancements in safer, more effective cancer treatments. The organization reports that it works to fill the gap left by federal funding locally, by funding researchers and by facilitating partnerships between researchers, families, and with local businesses. Each year, CCF holds a symposium bringing together scientists, physicians, patients, families, donors, and researchers to share information and experiences, with the aim of improving the quality and collaborative efforts within the local pediatric cancer research community.
