COATS FOR KIDS- Annual county-wide collection program providing 8,200+ new and gently used coats to children in local schools, shelters and social service agencies. The program is designed to eliminate financial and social barriers that inhibit low to moderate income children from receiving a winter coat.
Over 88,000 coats have been distributed since 2000. 

VITA TAX PROGRAM- IRS trained and certified volunteers offering free Federal and State Income Tax preparation to low income families and military families in the Allen County Community. Last year our IRS Certified Tax Volunteers assisted over 2,000 tax payers in 7 language groups and returned over 2.4 million dollars to Allen County families.

SECOND CHANCE EXPUNGEMENT INITIATIVE- Volunteer attorneys and trained volunteer attorney assistants provide free legal aid for expungement of criminal records, a major obstacle to better employment, housing and educational opportunities.

I CAN VOLUNTEER SERVICE TEAM Program – – I CAN stands for the values of Inclusion-Community-Access and Neighbors. This inclusive program provides free group based volunteer opportunities for individuals with enduring developmental and intellectual disabilities in an effort to eliminate barriers to service.

Nonprofit Capacity Building- The VolunteerCenter partners with 127 local nonprofits by providing a team of skilled volunteers to help expand their capacity to meet their mission. Access to the Galaxy Digital Get Connectedonline volunteer management platformis provided at no cost to all VolunteerCenter partner agencies.The platform providesa central hub to recruit,schedule and manage volunteers, report volunteer hours and maintainongoing communication.
