True to its founding spirit, whenever there is a need in our community, United Way is there. United Way of Lake County (UWLC) brings a comprehensive approach to every challenge, actively listening and
responding to local needs.

Youth Opportunity. UWLC helps children get off to a good start and empowers youth to reach their full potential by breaking down barriers to success. UWLC advances what works, including early childhood
education, literacy development, access to a high-quality K-12 education, enrichment opportunities like afterschool and summer programs, college and career readiness, and family engagement, fostering a
future where every young person can realize their dreams.

Community Resiliency. UWLC’s 211 helpline strengthens local resilience by guiding individuals and families to urgent resources. The free 24-hour information and referral service is available to everyone in
the community. 211 has already made more than 375,000 connections to help and is a lifeline in times of crisis and every day.
