Turning Point Center for
Youth & Family Development is a nonprofit organization focusing on the
mental health, behavioral health, and substance use disorder treatment needs of
youth, families, and adults. It serves Larimer and Weld County with a continuum
of care outpatient services, from prevention to intervention. Approximately 85%
of clients are considered low income, and many are involved in the justice
system or child welfare system. Services are provided through
outpatient facilities in Fort Collins and Greeley, as well as in school,
in-home, or in the community. Turning Point works hard to reduce barriers to
accessing care while also continually filling service gaps in the community.
Turning Point also supports efforts to add more behavioral health providers to
the field by serving as an internship site that offers ongoing education and
supervision for those seeking licensure as mental health and substance use
disorder treatment providers, and by offering student loan forgiveness as a
Colorado Health Corps site.
