Ronald McDonald House – provides a “home-away-from-home” for families from outside Tucson who have critically ill children being treated at a local medical facility. Families stay as long as they need to as long as their child is being treated - oftentimes months at a time. No family has to pay to stay thanks to generous donations from the community. Thousands of community members participate in our Chef for a Day program, organizing and preparing dinner for our guest families.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms – a comfortable room within the hospital to give parents with hospitalized children a place to rest and regroup, get a snack or a fresh cup of coffee. There is one Ronald McDonald Family Room in the Diamond Children’s Medical Center at Banner Medical and one within Tucson Medical Center. Nearly 2,000 family members visit these Ronald McDonald Family Rooms each month.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles – to provide dental care to hundreds of children who otherwise would not have access to a dentist primarily in underserved areas. There is one in Cochise County in partnership with Chiricahua Community Health Centers and soon to be one in Pima County in partnership with MHC Healthcare to bring dental care to their pediatric patients in locations that are convenient for parents.
Family Support Services – to support children and families while they are at the Ronald McDonald House and then provide services and resources when they go home.
