Stated Purpose:
The mission of the Megan Meier Foundation is to support and inspire actions to end bullying, cyberbullying, and suicide. Megan Meier Foundation was founded by Tina Meier in 2007 after her daughter, Megan, took her own life following a cruel cyberbullying hoax by an adult neighbor on MySpace. The Megan Meier Foundation believes that every young person deserves a chance to thrive, to feel valued, and to find hope even in the face of adversity. We are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families by connecting them with support, resources, and solutions.

Year, State Incorporated:
2007, MO

Megan Meier Foundation offers educational presentations, videos, and community resources nationwide to age levels ranging from elementary school students to parents and professionals. Through education and leadership, these programs build positive concepts of civic-mindedness and upstander behavior. The Megan Meier Foundation also provides free mental health counseling services to youth coping with a variety of behavioral health issues. Through the use of evidence-based practices, licensed professionals provide counseling in school settings, office environments, or remotely via telehealth. Both individual and group counseling options are available. Our School Attendance Initiative collaborates closely with schools, families, and the Juvenile Office to identify at-risk students and intervene before truancy becomes a barrier to their future. Our approach connects parents with personalized support, resources, and interventions, reducing the need for referrals to the Juvenile Justice Center.
