Loveland's Community Kitchen meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
"We provide a meal for the hungry, conversation for the lonely, rest for those who are struggling and a voice for those in need."
Year, State Incorporated:
1996, CO
The Community Kitchen is a 501(c)3 organization in Loveland that provides nutritious prepared meals and sustainable food bags 7 days per week to anyone in need. The Kitchen's mission is to provide FOOD for people who are hungry, CONVERSATION for people who are lonely, REST for people who are struggling, and a VOICE for people in need. There are no qualifications for our services. The Community Kitchen is the only agency in Loveland open 7 days a week providing food to people experiencing food insecurity. The Kitchen has served our community since 1996. The Community Kitchen believes that everyone deserves access to food. Anyone can come during serving times to get a prepared meal, including those who are unhoused, unable to prepare their own meals due to age or disability, and/or those who do not earn a living wage and are food insecure. Dinner is served in our dining room, or for those who prefer, through our trailer in the parking lot. Sustainable food bags (to-go food sufficient for up to 3 meals) are also available at our trailer. In addition to providing meals at its location, the Kitchen also works with other agencies in the community to ensure people have access to food. Meals are provided to support Salvation Army’s motel respite program, breakfast at the Loveland Resource Center, and at other agencies providing food items. The Kitchen conducts Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) compliant intakes and is part of the city's coordinated efforts to address homelessness.
