Interfaith Community Services was founded in 1979 when diverse faith leaders came together in response to rising poverty, hunger, and homelessness in North San Diego County. Our extensive offerings of more than 70 programs include emergency and transitional housing, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, recuperative care, substance use disorder treatment, employment services, homelessness prevention, and basic needs support (food, hygiene, mail service). This broad approach aims to empower individuals for self-sufficiency and active participation in their community. Today, Interfaith stands as North County's most comprehensive social services agency, serving over 20,000 community members annually.
