Hope Collaborative offers a comprehensive school-based mentoring program to public school students in its communities. Mentors meet with a group of up to four students for up to one hour per week and commit to meeting with their group for one school year. Mentors lead conversations and activities that focus on pro-social development, academic achievement, and character building. Hope Collaborative is currently mentoring in Jefferson, Oldham, Hardin, Elizabethtown Independent, Bullitt, Henry, New Albany/Floyd, and Greater Clark School systems. Hope Collective also operates a trauma-informed community development center called Hope Place. It strives to be a safe place where hope is made tangible through the body of Christ serving its neighbors in South Louisville. Hope Place offers a variety of programs and services for youth and adults. Hope Collaborative also offers Court Diversion workshops through a partnership with the Juvenile Administrative Offices of the Courts. Youth in this program have been charged with either misdemeanors or low-level felonies, with charges ranging from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, burglary, shoplifting, criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing.
