Year, State Incorporated:
2015, CO

Also Known As:
Faith Family Hospitality of Fort Collins, Inc.

The five programs to serve families with minor children who are experiencing homelessness are the Overnight Shelter, Case Management, Day Center, Bridge Housing and Housing Program. The Overnight Shelter Program provides for the basic needs of four families at a time: food, safety and shelter. Each family is provided with a single room for their family to share to sleep and lock their possessions, a hot evening meal, hospitality, support, and breakfast 365 nights per year in a host congregation’s facility. Host congregations generously open their buildings while their members provide this service on a weekly rotating basis. The Case Management Program is wrap-around case management provided to overnight families and those who are using the day center. Each family meets with a case manager to set weekly goals to overcome barriers and obstacles to permanent housing in 3-4 months. The Day Center is a safe, family-friendly facility that meets the unique needs of families with children and is open six days per week. It allows parents to multi-task family management activities and work towards self-sufficiency, effectively reducing some of the inefficiencies of homelessness. Services available at the Day Center include computer/internet use, showers, laundry, kitchen, a room for naps and illness recovery, and play, reading, and work areas. Bridge Housing offers more highly vulnerable families wraparound case management with longer stays in a single location. The Housing Program includes Homelessness Prevention programming which may include short-term rental assistance along with a year of case management and home visits.
