Stated Purpose:
Easterseals Redwood's mission is to advance 100% equity, access and workforce inclusion for people with disabilities, people facing disadvantages, and veterans. Easterseals Redwood was formed on 8/1/2022 when Easterseals Serving Greater Cincinnati and Redwood merged to become one. Our services impact the lives of people throughout their lifespan - and the lives of their families, their communities and society at large.

Building Value

Easterseals Redwood's comprehensive portfolio of programs is specifically designed to empower the people we serve to achieve their highest potential, regardless of the challenges they face. To achieve this, we work passionately to address each person’s specific needs and abilities, and create solid, sustainable pathways to employment and community integration. By empowering people to find gainful employment and to become self-sufficient, ESRW is reducing unemployment, poverty and welfare demands, ensuring diversity and inclusion in the workforce and creating a stronger community. Together, we value a belief in people, joy, inclusion, curiosity, impact, and courage. Easterseals Redwood’s complete continuum of programs and services provide proven solutions for:

Community Integration: ESRW provides programs designed to support people, regardless of ability, age, or level of workforce readiness to integrate into the community and/or develop workplace skills. For older adults or people not ready for employment, we offer day programs for adults with disabilities and/or medical fragility, to improve their quality of life by engaging socially and transition to community-based living.

Disability Employment: For youth and adults ready to take the leap toward more independent employment, we offer hands-on skills training, credentialed learning, digital and financial literacy training, and job development so that each person has the skills and confidence to reach employment. Our employment partners include Kroger, the Cincinnati Museum Center, the Cincinnati Zoo, Great Wolf Lodge, and many more.

Children’s Services: The Early Care and Education program offers childcare and preschool for children with and without special needs. The program is nationally accredited (NAEYC) and has an excellent 4-star rating in Kentucky. Embedded in this program is Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care, which helps children with special health care needs stabilize and improve their health by receiving onsite nursing care while benefiting from typical childhood experiences. We offer after school and summer programs for youth with disabilities.

Therapy: ESRW makes therapy (speech, physical, occupational) plus behavioral supports available to children and adults. We offer Northern Kentucky’s only Assistive Technology Resource Center, where we provide equipment loans, demonstrations, and training in the use of technology devices that facilitate activities of daily living and communication.

Veterans: ESRW provides emergency services to veterans and their families by connecting them to resources through the Community OneSource Hotline (United Way 211); connects veterans to employment by maximizing their strengths and relevant military experience; and delivers credentialed training to veterans, including those with disabilities.

Economic Empowerment: ESRW helps people overcome disadvantages and barriers to employment. Typically, those we serve lack education, experience, and/or network connections. To address these issues, we provide people with education, certifications, practical hands-on experience, and employability training. Graduates are connected to employment and receive follow-up services to ensure their success.
