Clackamas Women’s Services (CWS) reports it works alongside survivors, community partners, donors, students, volunteers, and others to build a community that honors survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, elder abuse, and trafficking. The organization offers multiple programs and services, all of which are free and confidential, in rural communities, local Oregon Department of Human Services offices, and at A Safe Place Family Justice Center. CWS provides individualized advocacy and support including: emotional support and safety planning; community resources and safety and welfare navigation, such as adult protective services, child welfare, Title IX, law enforcement, healthcare, and legal services; household resource management; and temporary restraining and stalking orders. The organization also runs a 24-hour crisis and support line, providing resources and referrals to other agencies. CWS connects survivors with confidential emergency shelter and transitional housing. The organization facilitates specific support groups and programming for the Latina community and children and youth. In 2022, CWS reported it shared domestic violence prevention lessons with 5,331 students, received 2,343 crisis and support line calls, provided 887 counseling sessions, and housed 134 youth and 129 adults.
