Stated Purpose:
Central Louisville Community Ministries collaborates with the Association of Community Ministries, its community partners, and its neighbors to meet immediate needs and to act as a trusted advocate while it defeats the cycle of need in central Louisville.

                            1985, KY
Central Louisville Community Ministries’ service area includes the downtown areas of 40202, 40203 and 40208, east to Shelby Street, west to 9th Street, south to the railroad tracks at Eastern Parkway, and north to the Ohio River. The purpose of the Ministry is to give direct and personal assistance to citizens of the service area who are in need, especially those with income maintenance needs. This is done through service, in the form of friendly human contact, referrals, and assistance with food, rent, utilities, clothing, personal care items not covered by SNAP, prescriptions, haircut vouchers, and other similar needs. It is also done by advocating with neighbors in need to improve the amount and quality of assistance from other public and private entities.
