Bringing Justice Home meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
Bringing Justice Home fosters the health and well-being of all Louisvillians, prioritizing the needs and gifts of those marginalized by disability or health status, and engages the community in the work of justice.
Year, State Incorporated:
2020, KY
Bringing Justice Home works to increase food and nutritional security for people with disabilities and/or health challenges. It provides access to healthy food including fresh, healthy produce and shelf-stable goods for those who struggle to afford it or who have difficulty finding it due to health limitations. The nonprofit provides monthly deliveries of custom retail groceries and household supplies, quarterly pantry staples deliveries, and biweekly deliveries of organic farm boxes during the growing season. The nonprofit also provides community and social support. It offers opportunities for neighbors (those served) to socialize with others facing similar challenges, build friendships, and to participate in enjoyable activities outside the home. Lastly, the nonprofit’s Grace Fund provides essential durable goods that are not available through other community resources. This service improves the quality of life of neighbors by ensuring they have access to necessary items for their health, safety, and well-being. It empowers neighbors by providing them with the ability to choose the specific durable goods they need most.
