Awake Ministries provides long term faith-based recovery to men and women struggling with addictions, habits, and traumas. This is achieved through the 12 steps of Celebrate Recovery and clinical counseling. Other components of the program include adult education, community service, and workforce development. Awake Ministries is also the parent company of The Paddock Coffee Shop, a social enterprise and happy gathering spot in downtown Shelbyville. The nonprofit also meets the food needs of Shelby County residents by distributing food boxes each week. It is the largest Dare to Care food bank in the state, serving over 9,000 people monthly.
