The Hydrocephalus Association (HA) reports that it funds research and provides support and educational resources for patients, caregivers and advocates on behalf of the hydrocephalus community on key policies and legislation. HA supports research through the HA Patient Powered Interactive Engagement Registry (HAPPIER), the HA Network for Discovery Science (HANDS), the Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network (HCRN), and Adult HCRN (AHCRN). The organization also provides direct support through phone calls, emails, social media, and local support groups, all with the aim of providing the community opportunities to find friendship and receive education. HA's advocacy steering committee continues to monitor and support legislation that benefits the hydrocephalus community.
