Amref Health Africa (Amref) is dedicated to creating lasting in health change in Africa through people-centered, community-led health systems for sustainable primary healthcare, and to addressing the social determinants of health (including socioeconomic status, education, climate, employment, housing, and environmental factors) to increase equitable access to quality primary and basic healthcare. Through community-based initiatives, Amref aims to enhance healthcare access, promote preventive care, and foster a sense of ownership over health, ultimately creating a healthier and more resilient Africa for all.
