Stated Purpose:
At Meals on Wheels of Southwest OH & Northern KY our mission is to deliver essential services that promote the independence of seniors so they may remain in the comfort of their own homes.

Year, State Incorporated:
1949, OH

Also Known As:
Wesley Community Services Organization Cincinnati Area Senior Services, Inc.

Meals on Wheels Southwest Ohio & Northern KY (MOW) is the largest senior service provider in Greater Cincinnati and one of the largest Meals on Wheels in the country. Originally founded in 1937 as Wesley Community Services, MOW has recently doubled in size through mergers with Cincinnati Area Senior Services (2021) and 55 North (2023). While our programs have changed over the years, the organization’s priority has stayed the same – to deliver essential services to seniors in need.

With the powerful Meals on Wheels brand, we serve 10,000 seniors annually in 13 counties. Our service area includes Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, Warren and Clinton Counties in Ohio and the Kentucky counties of Boone, Kenton, Gallatin, Carroll, Owen, Grant, Pendleton, and Campbell. MOW delivered over one million meals in 2023, assembled in our commercial-grade kitchen. In addition to our regular menu items, we also prepare special meals for those seniors with certain health concerns, such as high blood pressure or diabetes. We are proud to provide our seniors with 50+ meal options!

Our centerpiece service is, of course, Home Delivered Meals. We provide food to seniors so they can age in a place where they feel most comfortable and connected to their community. However, we are about so much more because when we deliver meals, we get the chance to check in with our seniors, chat for a few minutes, and make sure they are okay. Through our Pet Support program (available to those who participate in the Meals on Wheels program), we deliver dog and cat food, along with help paying for veterinary services. Our Social Services programs provide additional support, including: Transportation, Health & Wellness programs, Personal Financial Management, & Senior Care Coordination--all with the goal of helping seniors age with dignity in their homes. A warm, friendly atmosphere is what draws older adults to our OTR Senior Center. Many local seniors go there every day for companionship and
friendship. We have a presence in numerous senior housing complexes and community senior sites where we staff social workers or provide meals across the Greater Cincinnati Region. The availability and variety of these wrap-around services and resources are critical, as many of our seniors are marginalized, have disabilities, or are living with chronic health conditions. Most are low-income or living below the poverty line.
