VIPS meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
VIPS empowers families by providing educational excellence to young children with blindness or low vision in order to build a strong foundation for reaching their highest potential. VIPS specialized teachers of the visually impaired serve the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky and State of Indiana.

VIPS is the first and only nonprofit that provides early intervention services and support to young children who are blind or have low vision, along with their families across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Indiana. It offers children and their families specialized critical in-home and center-based services, orientation and mobility, transitional and advocacy services, educational support materials and community resources, summer programming, and infant-toddler groups.
