The Mountain Education Foundation (MEF) engages and unites the community to mobilize resources and support for strategic investment in educational excellence at Signal Mountain public schools. MEF is the private fundraising arm to support our community’s aim for educational excellence beyond what public funding provides.

The Mountain Education Foundation (MEF) was formed to provide ongoing financial support to achieve and maintain excellence in the Signal Mountain public schools, including Nolan Elementary, Thrasher Elementary, and Signal Mountain Middle/High School.
Since 1991 MEF has provided more than $6.5 million in funding to enhance learning in the classroom in an effort to achieve educational excellence beyond what public funding provides. MEF brings parents, community leaders, citizens and local businesses together for an organized and united fundraising effort while connecting with principals and educators to identify the essential needs for each of the three schools and 2500 students it serves.
