Magnified Giving meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
Our mission is to educate, inspire and engage students in philanthropy, and to touch the hearts and minds of teens, lighten the concerns of others, and magnify the impact of philanthropy.
Year, State Incorporated:
2008, OH
We teach youth to be philanthropists through three programs. First, we educate over 5,000 youth annually through our Youth Philanthropy Program by providing resources to over 150 local schools and youth-based programs. We give each group $1,000 to grant to a local nonprofit after youth engage in a meaningful process of researching social causes and organizations, serving, and advocating. Second,
through our summer camp, Camp Give, we connect youth with community nonprofits and have a blast learning and serving together. Finally, through our Service-Learning program, we provide resources to infuse our region with service-learning and encourage meaningful conversations about service.
