On August 21, 2018, the Sonoma County District Attorney’s office sentenced a former caseworker for Hanna Boys Center to twenty-one years in a state prison in a sexual assault case involving four separate teenage victims, case number MCV-242521.

The case stemmed from a former student of Hanna Boys Center who came forward with allegations of sexual abuse conducted by his assigned caseworker at the center. This prompted an investigation that lead to the discovery of three additional victims. The caseworker plead no contest to the eleven sex offenses he was accused of.

The caseworker has been sentenced to twenty-one years in prison and must register as a sex offender upon his release.
