This charitable organization either has not responded to written BBB requests for information or has declined to be evaluated in relation to BBB Standards for Charity Accountability. Charity participation in BBB review is voluntary. However, without the requested information, it is not possible to determine whether this charity adheres to all of the BBB Standards for Charity Accountability. The BBB encourages charities to disclose accountability information beyond that typically included in financial statements and government filings, in order to demonstrate transparency and strengthen public trust in the charitable sector.

 

The BBB reports on charities and determines if they meet 20 voluntary standards on matters such as charity finances, appeals, and governance. The BBB does not evaluate the worthiness of the charitable program.

BBB Accredited Charity and Sealholder status was revoked by BBB on 4.11.23 due to the organization's failure to further respond to a consumer rebuttal and BBB requests concerning a complaint submitted to BBB on June 29, 2022, alleging problems with workmanship  concerning a bathroom remodel/repair through Modcon Living's Mod Squad home repair program. The complaint at one time was closed as answered on Nov. 16, 2022, after an initial response by the charity, but later the consumer provided further information and the complaint was re-opened on Nov. 29, 22 and the charity has not further responded since that time despite multiple requests from BBB. The Charity is therefore no currently meeting BBB Standards for Charitable Accountability standard 19 - Respond promptly to and act on complaints brought to its attention by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance and/or local Better Business Bureaus about fund raising practices, privacy policy violations and/or other issues. Should the status of the complaint change, BBB will further review any related changes appropriate concerning BBB's evaluation of the charity in regarding to standard 19.
