Elks National Foundation meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Stated Purpose:
The mission of the Elks National Foundation is to help Elks build stronger communities. Elks National Foundation fulfills this pledge by investing in communities where Elks live and work. Elks National Foundation helps youth develop lifelong skills, sends students to college, meets the needs of today's veterans, supports the charitable work of the state Elks associations, and funds projects that improve the quality of life in local Elks communities.

The Elks National Foundation (ENF) invests in communities where Elks live and work through service grants to local chapters. Elks chapters use these grants to meet the needs of their communities. In addition, the ENF helps fund the charitable activities of state Elks associations.

The ENF also funds the Elks' commitment to end veteran homelessness. Support includes direct emergency assistance, targeted grants for local chapters, and welcome home kits for veterans exiting homelessness. Additional funding supports occupational therapy programs and social activities at veterans hospitals and homes.

In addition, the ENF funds programs designed to help youth develop grit and lead healthy lifestyles. The ENF also annually awards more than $4 million in scholarships for college and medical school.
