Be Kind FoCo meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Based on the belief that philanthropy begins with kindness, Be Kind FoCo is a family-and youth-philanthropy organization meant to inspire giving back to our community. Our flagship project, the Be Kind FoCo Kindness Expo, a free event celebrating philanthropy through the lens of kindness, began in 2018. We also host a summer-long spread-the-kindness scavenger hunt, meant for families to be able to give back in simple but impactful ways while at the same time learning about the nonprofit organizations serving our community. We intend to grow over the next several years to become a city-wide initiative, further engaging the business community along with our nonprofit partners, while giving kids and their families opportunities to learn about giving, volunteerism, and kindness that do not require curriculum-based participation.
