Sowing Seeds With Faith is dedicated to engaging youth academically and socially in the Greater Louisville area. Its programs are designed to empower at-risk children by providing academic support, mentorship, enrichment activities, and family support services. The nonprofit serves over 750 youth annually from more than 50 schools across 32 zip codes, with a primary focus on students from underserved communities. The After-School Tutoring Program provides 1:2 tutoring support for students in grades K-12 and focuses on math, reading comprehension, financial literacy, and Black history. The Summer Enrichment Program is a structured eight-week program that includes three hours of daily academic enrichment. The Mentoring Program connects students with staff and community mentors who provide guidance and support, and includes social outings, leadership development, and community service projects. The Mental Health & Wellness Initiatives include weekly group therapy sessions facilitated by licensed therapists to promote emotional well-being. The Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Tours exposes high school students to HBCUs, encouraging higher education aspirations and helps students with college applications and career planning. Lastly, the Community Engagement and Violence Prevention Programs are designed to reduce youth violence by providing structured, safe, and engaging activities. Sowing Seeds With Faith is committed to addressing educational disparities and creating opportunities for young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Through its innovative programming, it aims to break cycles of poverty and empower the next generation of leaders.
