Safe Passage meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Stated Purpose:
To end child trafficking and help youth navigate life after trauma. Safe Passage uses a holistic approach to help sexually trafficked children exit dangerous and exploitative situations, and to prevent other children from
falling into the trap.
Year, State Incorporated:
2018, KY
Safe Passage’s prevention program fortifies vulnerable youth against abuse while also identifying undiscovered victims and helping them take action on unreported abuse. Its mentorship and support services provide critical attention to trafficked and exploited youth. Through weekly one-on-one support, it helps survivors recognize their inherent value to be loved without being used, sold, or exploited. It provides the consistent support youth need to exit unsafe relationships and overcome destructive patterns that lead to vulnerability and exploitation. Safe Passage’s vision is to see child trafficking, exploitation, and abuse end by addressing the child’s whole-life picture and providing personalized support for their emotional, circumstantial, and basic needs.
