Stated Purpose:
New Day Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit that exists for the purpose of addressing the destructive nature of communities blighted by poverty, crime, gangs, and broken families with a goal of transforming these communities into places of hope and opportunity.

Year, State Incorporated:
2018, KY

L.O.V.E. WALKS deploys knowledgeable, relatable, and caring adults connected through prayer, life experiences, and compassion. The walks are held every six months and focus on the neighborhood’s high crime rate, concentrated poverty, increased propensity for youth violence, high prevalence of gang activity, unemployment, and low academic performance. The goal of each walk is to connect with residents to create opportunities to listen, assess real versus perceived needs, identify potential community-led revitalization projects, and to connect with those most vulnerable and affected by the environment in which they live. CAMPCHANGE takes 20 to 30 youth from West End neighborhoods to Cedar Ridge Park for a day of archery, fishing, canoeing, swimming, teambuilding games, and more. L.I.F.E. Summer Enrichment Camp lasts for six weeks and is for 30 students. Activities offered include social emotional development, reading, S.T.E.A.M. content, field trips, hot meals and Christian love. L.I.F.E. After School Program works to enrich learning capabilities for youth through structured engagement while also providing a safe and encouraging environment along with hot meals and Christian love. Tutoring services, S.T.E.M. projects, theater arts, dance, and more. Christmas Gift Extravaganza blesses 200 to 250 families and their children at Christmas time with clothing, food, Kroger and Visa gift cards, $100 towards their bill of choice, and a new bike and toys. This event is in partnership with Marines Toys For Tots, Southeast Christian Prospect, The Duthie Foundation, and other philanthropist and supporters.
