Stated Purpose:
Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Year, State Incorporated:
1984, CA

Also Known As:
Make-A-Wish San Diego

Since its inception, Make-A-Wish San Diego has granted more than 5,000 wishes to local children. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness. A wish unites entire communities by sharing in life-changing experiences; it renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages a child to believe in the impossible. The organization serves children from all areas of San Diego and Imperial Counties and wish families span every socio-economic status, ethnicity, and culture. No eligible child is ever turned away, and a family’s financial status, race, or religion has no bearing on whether a child will receive a wish.
