Kentucky Youth Advocates is a multi-issue, statewide child advocacy organization and has worked for over 40 years to improve child well-being and public policies that give children the best possible opportunities for a bright future. As the lobbyist for kids, it works with legislators, the governor, and other elected officials to change and enact policies to benefit kids and families. It helps families through their case advocacy program where families receive vital information that strengthens their knowledge and empowers them to access needed services. It conducts research and data to determine how kids are faring across Kentucky and nationally and uses that data to develop policy recommendations. It helps mobilize advocates to act on behalf of kids and families through rallies, advocacy trainings, statewide partnerships and coalitions, and action alerts. It engages youth by training the next generation of leaders to advocate for themselves and their communities.
