Year, State Incorporated:
1932, KY
Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is the premier leadership organization for girls in the communities it serves. For more than a century the organization has empowered a sense of belonging for young people in Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana, serving more than 9,000 girls in grades K-12 with 5,000 caring adult volunteers. Youth unlock their passions and discover life-readiness skills for today and tomorrow. Fun programs focus on leadership development, community engagement, and personal growth. The organization also operates several locations for learning activities and outdoor adventure camps. A Girl Scout practices hands-on activities that create new skills, outdoor exploration, entrepreneurship, and goal setting. They encounter a safe space to conquer challenges. Members realize their strengths, connect with others, find their voice, and take action to make a positive impact within their communities and beyond.
